Welcome to Rabbit Room Apologetics. I’m Marc Bates. This is a place for Christians who want deeper answers and for anyone willing to ask serious questions with care and honesty.

Too often, Scripture is reduced to isolated verses, modern assumptions, or arguments designed merely to win. Here we take a different approach: Scripture first, interpreted within its ancient world and the unfolding story of God’s redemptive purpose.

That means taking the Jewishness of Jesus and Paul seriously, recovering the world of Second Temple Judaism, recognizing Scripture’s supernatural Divine Council worldview, and tracing God’s Promise-Plan from Genesis to renewed creation.

You’ll find chapter-by-chapter biblical commentary, sustained theological studies, apologetics, and careful engagement with Islam, history, ethics, and competing interpretations.

The goal is not to replace Scripture with historical sources or manufacture certainty through slogans. It is to clarify the text, explain the available evidence, and help you understand how the pieces fit together.

Why the Rabbit Room?

Some of the best theological conversations happen after the formal lecture ends—around a table, with time to ask another question. Rabbit Room Apologetics is built in that spirit: serious scholarship without the distance of the lecture hall.
